Hi Nancy,
This was not a staged photo. We work up one morning and found Bandana like this!
Happy tails,
Rach

First, I have to apologize for my delay in sending this email. We’re finally calming down after our dog’s health scare….
A couple of weeks ago, we were visiting family out of town and my mom-who has a new foundling she adores-gave me some of your Peanut Butter & Honey dog cookies for our elderly German Shepherd, Runner, (he’s 12.5 years old and has arthritis in his back, plus some hindquarter weakness). Unfortunately, the day before we were due home, our pet sitter called to tell us that Runner hadn’t eaten all day and now didn’t want to even stand up. Needless to say, we were on the road and headed home immediately, getting in at midnight. My husband got him to drink a little water out of his hand, but food was a no go. I remembered the bag of treats from my mom and offered one to him-he scarfed it up.
For the next couple of days, as we and his vet were trying to figure out what was wrong with him, the only thing he would eat was those cookies.
I cannot express how grateful I was for your generosity and kindness during an extremely stressful time. Runner is doing much better now-he was eventually diagnosed with Vestibular Syndrome (his eyes were jerking like someone testing a doorknob, if that makes sense), so he was dizzy and nauseated. It’s no wonder food didn’t sound so appetizing and when he did try to walk, he staggered around like a drunken sailor. He’s recuperating now and he’s eating regular food, but he still loves those cookies for his mid-day snack.
Thank you again!
Sincerely,
Christine Robbins Durant
P.S. I’ve attached a photo of our delicate little flower.

Sita: “I can’t keep up this cute look forever, so how about another treat!”
Bima (pronouned Beema): Please can I have another one? I promise I’ll be good.”
